WELCOME MESSAGE

What a joy to be the Pastor of St. John's UMC. I am able to make this statement because St. John's has a rich and wonderful history with emphasis on worship, fellowship, discipleship and stewardship. Within this rich heritage, we reach out to one another, the community and the world to share the Good News of God's amazing grace as seen through the life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus, our Lord. We laugh together, cry together, study and learn together with a focus on living out Jesus' call to be in community. As community, we have one foot firmly planted in the past always valuing the lessons learned from the saints who came before us; one foot planted in the present always listening and seeking to discerning God's call for our lives; with eyes and ears bent toward the future always seeking new and innovative ways to live out God's call to be in mission and ministry. If you're interested and serious about being a part of such a community, I invite you to join us for worship, or give me a call. I'll be glad to meet with you and share more. At the time of this writing (July 19, 2010), I've only been the Pastor of St John's for three weeks the past was here, the present was in place, and together we/you can peer into the future with great anticipation that God has something special in store for us all.
