Confirmation Class

Confirmation is a class that helps 6th graders understand and prepare for membership into the faith community of the United Methodist Church. The curriculum used is"Claim the Name." Confirmation is led by Greg & Courtney Boney with key classes taught by Reverend Carl Hunsucker. Rev. Wright and Rev. Jeter also teach specific classes throughout the year. Classes are held every Sunday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in Room 203 of the Education Building, beginning in August and ending in May on Confirmation Sunday. Confirmation Retreat is planned for March and is held at Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center in Lake Junaluska, NC. If your 6th grader is interested in Confirmation classes, please contact Brenda Wilges. For those confirmands that choose to join the church, Confirmation Sunday will be May 1, 2011 at our 11:00 a.m. service in the Sanctuary.

Confirmation classes for 7th through 12th graders are led by the pastor on an as-needed basis. If you are interested in learning more about Confirmation for your 7th-12th grader, please contact Brenda Wilges.
