Acolytes
Acolytes are children in grades three and higher. They offer assistance in worship by lighting and extinguishing the alter candles as well as various seasonal needs of the minister. Training is required.

Children's Church
Children's Church is a special worship opportunity for children in grades K-2 held following the children's message of the 11:00am worship service. During this time, children will experience the worship service on their level and participate in various mission activities. Children's Church is staffed by parents on a rotating basis.

Children's Sunday School
Children’s Sunday School is a vital part of our Christian education. St. John's uses Methodist curriculum approved by our Education Committee. Currently our material is called Live B.I.G.

Nursery
St. John's Nursery is staffed on Sunday mornings from 8:30 - 12:30 to provide a loving and stable environment for our youngest age groups. Our nursery worker,Mrs. Lisa, is CPR and First Aid certified.We also have volunteers who help in the nursery on a rotation during the worship services.

Scripture Snacks
Scripture Snacks are individually wrapped snacks donated by our congregation on the second Sunday of each month.During Children's Church the children tape a scripture to each snack. Some of the snacks are taken to Piedmont Medical Center and placed in the surgical waiting room for family members to enjoy while waiting and some are sent to the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Mill.


Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is held every summer in our Fellowship Center and church grounds. Ages include 4 years (by Sept 1) thru Adults. If you would like to help plan VBS contact Laura Williams. Registration for the children begins in April. Adult volunteer sign ups begin in February.


WEE School
Our goal is to promote social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual development in children through their own activity and discovery. Activities include creative play, music, art, stories, cooking, visits from community helpers, and hands on learning experiences that involve age level appropriate concepts in numbers, letters, shapes and colors.WEE School has classes for children who are 2, 3 and 4 years old.
